This Week in Collectibles
May the 4th is here, and with it comes one of the biggest LEGO Star Wars moments of the year. But that's far from the whole story — Pokémon Chaos Rising pre-release kicks off, One Piece OP-16 hits Japan, Labubu's FIFA World Cup wave is still in play, and McFarlane has a stacked pre-order window open right now. A lot is moving. Here's everything you need to know.

- Mighty Jaxx & designer toy scene — Watch for Saturday drops as usual. The crossover anime and dissectible releases remain active in this window.
🐾 Labubu & Pop Mart
The Labubu market has shifted. Peak 2024 hype has cooled — U.S. sales are down roughly 45% — but that doesn't mean it's dead. It means the smart collectors are buying smarter.
- Labubu x FIFA World Cup "Catch the Win" Series — Launched April 2 ahead of the 2026 World Cup (Canada/US/Mexico). The large vinyl plush ($149.99) featuring Labubu in soccer gear with a trophy is still available on popmart.com. FIFA collab energy is real.
- Labubu x Sanrio Collab — Released March 12. The blind box keychain set and large plush with Hello Kitty, My Melody, Kuromi, Cinnamoroll, Pochacco, and Pompompurin is still circulating in secondary markets. This sleeping-masked plush is one of the most-loved releases of 2026 so far.
- Next Labubu series — mid 2026 — Rumors are pointing to a new keychain series dropping sometime mid-year. No confirmed date yet, but collector forums are tracking it. Watch Pop Mart's app and Instagram for the first signal.
- Rising Pop Mart IPs to watch — With Labubu in correction mode, Crybaby, Skullpanda, Hacipupu, and Hirono are the names moving up. Crybaby posted a 21% quarter-over-quarter jump on StockX in Q3 2025. If you're looking for the next entry point, these are worth your attention now.
🃏 Pokémon TCG
The Mega Evolution era is rolling hard in 2026. Chaos Rising is the next big set and the pre-release window opens this week.
- Mega Evolution: Chaos Rising — Pre-Release May 9–17 — Build & Battle Deck pre-release events begin at local game stores May 9. This is the fourth Mega Evolution set featuring the debut of Mega Greninja ex and Mega Floette ex.
- Chaos Rising Full Release May 22 — ETBs, Booster Boxes, Booster Bundles, and 3-Pack Blisters all drop May 22. Over 120 cards including new Illustration Rares tied to the Legends Z-A Lumiose City theme.
- Mega Zygarde ex Premium Collection May 22 — Releases alongside Chaos Rising. Foil promo Mega Zygarde ex, oversized lenticular card, tech sticker, and 8 booster packs.
- Mega Lucario ex League Battle Deck May 22 — Ready-to-play 60-card competitive deck. Great entry point for newer players jumping into the Mega Evolution format.
- First Partner Illustration Collection Series 2 June 19 — Johto, Unova, and Galar starters as Illustration Rare promos. Series 1 sold fast — pre-order Series 2 now if you can.
- 30th Celebration all-foil set Sept 18 — The milestone anniversary release with a brand-new rarity type. One of the most anticipated sealed products of the year.
🧙 Magic: The Gathering
- Secrets of Strixhaven — Already out (April 24). If you play spell-heavy or Magecraft-style decks, this set has strong staying power. Secondary market is settling — good time to pick up singles.
- Riftbound: Unleashed (Set 3) May 8 — Riot Games' League of Legends TCG drops Set 3 this week. Champions: Master Yi, Diana, Vi, Pyke, and Kha'Zix. If you haven't tried Riftbound yet, Set 3 is a strong entry point.
- MTG Marvel Super Heroes (Universes Beyond) June 26 — One of the biggest MTG crossover sets in history. This is the set that will bring new collectors into Magic. Pre-orders are the move here — expect demand to outpace supply on launch day.
- MTG The Hobbit (Universes Beyond) Aug 14 — Another major crossover later in the summer. 2026 is stacking up as MTG's biggest licensed year ever.
⚓ One Piece TCG
- OP-16: The Time of Battle Japan: May 30 / English: June 12 — The next major booster set drops in Japan at the end of May and arrives in Western markets June 12 alongside Double Pack Set DP-11 and the new ST-30 "Luffy & Ace" Starter Deck.
- Extra Booster EB-03 (Heroines Edition) — A curated, character-focused set. Tighter card pool means higher hit density per pack — great for collectors who want targeted, premium pulls rather than a sprawling main set.
- English 3rd Anniversary Set Aug 28 — Commemorative premium set featuring the Three Brothers. Includes leather card case, Leader cards, and a storage box. Pre-orders opened February 15 via Premium Bandai — this is a keeper.
- Illustration Box Vol. 7 & Vol. 8 July 31 — Display-worthy collector boxes. These sell through fast — plan ahead.
🦸 Action Figures & Statues
- McFarlane DC Multiverse — Supergirl Movie Wave Pre-order / June ship — 7" scale Supergirl with soft-goods cape, swappable faceplate, and extra hands ($26.99). Krem of the Yellow Hills Deluxe Edition also in the wave ($34.99, two heads + blaster + axe). Pre-orders live now at McFarlane's store.
- McFarlane DC Multiverse — Starman (Jack Knight) May ship — $26.99, pre-orders live. A deep-cut DC Comics fan favorite finally getting the figure treatment. A nice surprise for Zero Hour collectors.
- McFarlane Marvel Rivals figures — Captain America, Jeff the Shark, Magneto, Thor, and Doctor Strange revealed at Toy Fair 2026. The Jeff the Shark figure alone is worth watching — that character has a huge fanbase.
- Hasbro — Star Wars KOTOR Darth Traya & Nihilus 2-Pack — One of the most celebrated Star Wars reveals of the year. Two beloved KOTOR II villains in one set. Pre-orders are live and moving fast.
- Hasbro — Tron: Legacy Identity Collection 4-Pack — Surprise reveal, six-inch scale. Tron collectibles have had essentially nothing for years. Watch secondary interest on this one carefully.
- Mattel — Masters of the Universe (2026) He-Man — New figure just unveiled. Classic fan base, strong re-entry into retail with updated sculpt.
